Hello, my name is Laura but I've always gone by Bailey, I am a North West-based artist located in Cheshire and I am passionate about animation, video production and editing. I found my love for art at a very young but never really had enough confidence to seriously pursue it seriously, I always viewed the arts as you either have it or you don't and felt I lacked that natural talent. I tried to decide for many years what aspect of art to focus my efforts on, I tried my hand at photography, editing, illustration and sculpture but eventually realised it was the creative process I enjoyed more than the specific craft itself.

After many years of pressure not knowing what career path to follow, I had fallen in love with animation and content creation. I now find it impossible to ignore an idea and not figure out a way to bring it to life. I've worked with local businesses, freelancers and charities and I regularly commission custom designs, which has helped me build on my brand and network with some very talented creators. I pride myself on my communication skills after years of experience in the customer service field.

I pull inspiration from pretty much anywhere. If I can provoke a surprising thought, positively impact or challenge an audience then I know I'm doing exactly what I set out to!  Concept art is where I can really get creative, I love the avant-garde scene and a sense of nostalgia, a simple focal point but with an unexpected twist. I also enjoy playing with colour and texture and strive to keep my work unique and fresh. I've found some of my best work has come from incorporating different techniques and materials collaboratively. With some hands-on creative field experience, I plan to progress in advertisement, the music video field alongside experimenting with niche freelance projects.
